Blog #1

Wednesday was a very informative and interest class, i got the basic knowledge or idea on a video camera and what the whole video production entails.i learnt a variety of things; such as:
  • the different areas on the camera.
  • how to prepare for a shoot .
  • how to shoot and gather footage.
I also found out about white balance, shutter speed on a video camera; the difference between the shutter speed on the camera and on a video camera, we also got introduced to a tripod once more; and how it is used; the reasons a producer uses a tripod. The hands on experience allowed me to understand what i can and cannot do and where the improvements are needed, this was the best part. Overall the class really was an eye opener and anyone that missed it missed a lot.
